Celebrating Our First Year
We are so happy to be celebrating our first year since opening Tracton Optometrists. Opening this practice has been a labour of love and the realisation of a dream. The first year has been fulfilling and great fun.
As in independent optometry practice we can take the time to get to know our patients. Already within the first year feel that we are part of the Bondi Junction and eastern suburbs community. As we are independent we have the freedom to adapt, respond and do things differently and able to offer unique options to patients. Our goal is to provide continuity of care for patients over many years in an environment where we get to know each of our patients as individuals.
We take the time for eye examinations for adults and children, checking vision, colour vision, eye coordination and eye health and taking a photo of the back of the eye. We can complete RMS Fitness to Drive Forms, advise on the management and treat dry eye, help patients with low vision, care for patients with glaucoma and macular degeneration, provide myopia control treatments for children and carry out regular reviews for complex eye conditions.
We have close relationships with and refer to many leading ophthalmologists, some even within a few minutes walk of the practice. We work closely with a range of health care practitioners, ensuring holistic and team based care for our patients.
We have also enjoyed partnering with wonderful suppliers of both lenses and frames and we are so proud to present the highest quality products, carefully chosen to not only provide our patients with optimal optical solutions but also frames that make them look and feel fantastic. Not all spectacle lenses are created equal, and we are very fastidious with selecting what we believe to be the best lens and contact lens products on the market. We also enjoy solving the most complex lens challenges, including high prescriptions and prism correction. We enjoy fitting specialty contact lenses, from the latest multifocal contact lenses, to orthokeratology (myopia reducing hard lenses).
We offer very fast service times for glasses. This has been so valuable to people who are travelling, have lost or broken glasses or just can’t wait to wear their new spex! In some cases we can have new glasses ready within the hour. With more complex prescriptions we have been able to deliver glasses in record time.
Our extensive collections of Face a Face, DITA, Moscot, Orgreen, Masunaga, Etnia and Jaguar frames, to name a few of our brands, provide a wealth of choice. Assisting our patients find the perfect frame is one of our favourite things to do.
Opening in the middle of a lockdown was certainly not part of the dream, nor was the was months of construction on the footpath outside drowning us in noise and dust! However, inside our calm and beautiful practice we continued to welcome new patients, developing existing relationships and building new ones.
We are full of gratitude to our customers support, their loyalty, recommendations, feedback and the fantastic Google reviews. All this helps us to continue to build our practice as the go to independent optometry practice in Bondi Junction.
We are also grateful to the local doctors and ophthalmologists and other medical specialists who have referred patients to our care. We have welcomed patients from rural NSW, Mosman, the inner west, Blue Mountains, South Coast and North Coast and as far as Fiji and Vanuatu. Becoming a destination optometry practice is both an honour and responsibility.
One year on and we more than survived, we thrived.
To everyone who has come through our doors, thank you. If you have not yet seen us, please stop by and say hello, we can’t wait to meet you.
