RMS FITNESS TO DRIVE ASSESSMENTS

Transport New South Wales needs to know if you are fit to drive and wants to know if your vision meets the required standards. We fill out the vision assessment for the NSW RMS Fitness to Drive form, or lodge it online if required. Tracton Optometrists works with many general medical practitioners across Sydney to complete these forms for our patients. If you are older, you may be required to have these assessments done on a more regular basis. Commercial and heavy vehicle drivers may have specific vision requirements, which we can outline at our practice

The vision and medical standards for licencing can be found at

At the age of 75, a medical review is needed every year for your licence. Approximately 8 weeks prior to the renewal of your licence at this age, Transport for New South Wales will send you the form for your GP and Optometrist/Ophthalmologist to complete
